Additional Fundraising Tips and Support

Below are some additional tips using different realms of consciousness to support you in reaching your goal PLUS some fun and creative ideas! Please feel free to reach out for additional support by e-mailing the SpiritWalk Team at spiritwalkusm@yahoo.com.

On The Physical Level

Sending E-mails
Plan to send e-mails out once per month to everyone in your address book. You can get started now by sending out your Kick-Off E-mail!

Social Networking
Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are valuable tools to spread your message. Do this weekly and get started right away!

Create an Ideal Scene
How would you like your fundraising for SpiritWalk to look? Take the time to write an Ideal Scene. What is your personal goal ($500 is a minimum!)? How would you like the money to show up for you? Remember, it only has to be 50% believable! Dream big!

Make a Three-Foot Toss
Spirit meets us at the point of action. Be honest with yourself as to whether you’ve taken action toward your goal. See the tips on “Fundraising the Way You Always Wanted it to Be” and get moving!

Remember what works
Experience has proven that sending out regular e-mails, posting updates on Facebook, and making three-foot tosses on a regular basis were successful in raising the funds with ease and grace.

Seek Support
Contact a classmate or the SpiritWalk Fundraising Support team. Allow others to assist you with Working Your Process and meeting your commitment. Ideas, encouragement, and good juju are just a phone call away!

Phone a friend
$500 is only 20 donations of $25 each. Chances are you’ll pass $500 before you reach the end of your process.

On The Mental Level

Gratitude
Take a moment to express gratitude: (1) to yourself for choosing to support SpirtWalk, and (2) to Spirit for helping you meet your goal with ease and grace.

Work Your Process!
Recognize that school is in session and you have an opportunity to move up the soul line. Embrace the challenge and reframe the issue as a blessing.

Practice Manifesting
Set a clear intention. Believe that you deserve it. Trust that it will be yours. Take a baby step towards your goal. Read Wayne Dyer’s The Power of Intention for guidance with manifesting.

Ask for What You Want
This is a beautifully simple Basic Skill. Don’t judge yourself or others by assuming that the answer will be “no.” Instead, trust Spirit to provide what is for the highest good and just…ask.

Consider Your Beliefs Towards Money
Do you have an attitude of abundance or scarcity? Consider whether you hold any irrational beliefs around money that you might like to update. Remember that outer experience is a reflection of inner reality.

On The Spiritual Level

Centering
Center yourself in your Authentic Self, ask for Spirit’s assistance, invoke your Inner
Counselor…and set a Clear Intention to raise $500 or more with grace and ease.

Surrender to Spirit
Consider the prayer: “Dear God, this is your walk; it has your name on it. Please assist me in reaching my fundraising commitment,” or something along that line. Trust that Spirit will assist you in co-creating your commitment.

Fun and Creative Ideas!!!

Donate Your Talents, Coaching or Healing
If you are a heart-centered practitioner, donate the proceeds of a certain number of sessions per month (e.g., coaching, massage, tarot reading, acupuncture, reiki)!

Party!
Create a themed party (i.e., creating Ideal Scenes, Super Bowl, meditation, Equinox Celebration, Valentine’s, etc.), the possibilities are endless. Make it a potluck to keep costs down and put out a basket for love donations to SpiritWalk.

Piggy Bank
Donate the loose change in that basket in your closet. While you’re at it, ask your friends for their loose change. Most grocery stores have change counters, but they take a percentage. Why not roll it yourself in front of the television?

Lemonade Stand
Recruit a couple of kids (your own or a friend’s) to help. Sell lemonade and cookies. When the kids explain to passersby that they’re raising money for Mommy’s (or Uncle Bill’s) school, the donations will flow.

Embrace Opportunity
You do not need to know all your potential donors. Carry a fundraising letter and pledge form with you. You never know when you may strike up a conversation and find a donor.

Garage Sale
Clear out ancient history while raising funds for USM! Get your friends to donate items for a super sale and have people “buy” things with pledges. Advertise through Craigslist, e-mails, Facebook, or other social media.
